Who is a better leader: Jack or Hitler?

Who is a better leader: Jack or Hitler?
In the novel, Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, a group of boys land on an island with no adults. There is a kid named jack. He creates own faction of followers to challenge Ralph. Just like Adolf Hitler, Jack is a dictator. Jack and Hitler both want power at all costs, limit free speech, and use violence to maintain power.

Jack and Hitler both want to gain power at all costs. Golding writes, “I gave you food, “said jack and my hunters will protect you from the beast. Who will join my tribe?”(4). Jack wants the boys to listen to him and go in a different direction than Ralph wants. Holocaust Encyclopedia, it states, “Hitler’s establishment of concentration camps to inter Jews and other groups he believed to be a threat.”(1). Hitler will do anything to maintain his leadership, even murder others. Both dictators will do anything to be on the top.

Jack and Hitler limited free speech. Golding writes, “You're talking too much, “said jack “shut up fatty."(4). Jack does not want Piggy to talk, since most of the kids listen to what Piggy and Ralph have to say. On the website ‘Mattbrunge,’ it states,"Hitler began implementing his elimination of trade unions severe limitations on freedom of expression and radical racist policies, particularly against Jews."(3 )Hitler did not listen to what his people had to say. They had no equal rights. Both Jack and Hitler did not give people a voice.

Jack and Hitler use violence to maintain power. Golding writes, "You don’t know roger. He's a terror and the chief – they're both terrors." (4). Roger tortured Sam and Eric to make them
follow Jack. Jack tied and beat up Wilfred. Jack is violent. On the website "Hitler’s Children,” it states, "Jews and other inferiors were herded in like cattle, told to take off their clothes."(2). The German people knew bad things happened in the camps. The fear of going to these camps made people follow Hitler’s rules. Hitler kept power. Both hurt their people and kept them scared.

Jack and Hitler both want power at all costs, limit free speech, and use violence to maintain power. Jack and Hitler would have been better leaders if they had listened to their people. Instead of killing, they could have done something for their people, not against their people.

reflection

In this unit about china they talk about all kinds of things in China but one thing I already know was that most of the clothing, shoes, and phones were made in China. I am amazed how China became a supplies house not just in china but in the United States. The reason am amazed is because Chinese were working in farms and had little money to have food they went to not having anything at all to becoming a supplies house. After reading about how China did a lot of things I think one day I might go visit China. A reason why I would want to visit is because  I would want to go to the factories and see how they make the phones.
Prezi was a good source because it was something different to the PowerPoint it looks more interesting the doing slides. I am considering in using prezi in the future because if I want to do moveable slides prezi would be a good source to do it .PowerPoint was much easier because I knew how to use it and be around the PowerPoint. I knew how to put picture on it and lot of more things. Easybib made me not struggle so mush in writing down the website right away I could wait till the end and just go to easybib it would give me the URL right away. Something differently I would do on the project would be write down more information.
